FAQ's
ARE YOUR CLASSES SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?
This experience is not suitable for children, as we will be working with hot elements throughout the candle making experience.
What risks are involved in the candle making process?
The most important things to be conscious of at this workshop are the heated elements, to avoid hurting ourselves and our neighbours.
Each guest will melt their own wax, using a personal double boiler. Whilst our vegan-friendly soy wax is best melted gently at low temperatures, it will be important to be conscious of the wax not overheating to a temperature at which it could be dangerous. In addition to the wax, we will be conscious of our equipment getting hot too.
We provide almond oil to cleanse hands that have come into contact with our essential oils, if you have a nut allergy please let us know.
What type of candle will I make?
You will make a 200ml soy candle to a fragrance you can select on the day from our range of seasonal, essential-oil based aromas.
Our soy wax is 100% vegan, cruelty free and paraffin free. It is sustainably sourced and environmentally friendly. Your candle will be completely free from CMR and Phthalate too.
I am an advanced candle maker, is this class for me?
This class is specifically designed to be beginner friendly, and very much an introduction to the world of candle making.
If you are looking for something more advanced, or perhaps even looking to build up your skills towards launching your own candle business, we would suggest our friends at Old Bexley Soap & Candle Co who offers a very highly rated, more technical experiences.
Does this experience work well as a private party or team event?
Absolutely yes! Our candle making experience is a truly restful and rejuvenating process, great for teams, friends and family.

I came to Master Peace with my family just before Mother's Day and the four of us had a lovely time, managed to learn more about candle making and took our own creation home.
