MasterPeace | Projector Painting Workshop

In this 90-minute class, you will receive personalised coaching from a professional artist as you work step-by-step through creating an acrylic painting of a photo of your choice, using a projector for that initial helping hand!

Why not paint a seascape snapped on holiday in the style of Bob Ross? Or a portrait of a loved one? You can choose from any photo on your phone to take inspiration from: adding your own creative flair as you go.

Our pop-up studio is located right outside Herne Hill station. (opposite the beautiful Brockwell Park) Turn right when you arrive at the station, and we are the first archon the right- inside FINSON studio (278) with the pink sign.

What will I be painting?

Guests can transform a photo of their choice into a painting in just 90 minutes, using our clever projectors, even as a complete beginner. You can choose any photo on your iPhone: a holiday snap, a loved one, poster art, or anything that inspires you!

Are your classes suitable for children?

Guests of ages 13+ can attend alongside an adult who is participating in the class. For guests of ages 6-12, we offer our Mini-MasterPeace experience, or Private 121s, to accommodate for their unique needs. Alternatively, why not book your own private sitting, for multi-generational groups? Perfect for family celebrations.

What's included?

- All the materials you'll need including an A4 canvas board, brushes, acrylic paints and more - all brushes and palette for you to keep after class! - Apron - Guidance from a professional artist - Frame for your masterpiece

What is the structure of the class?

Each class will begin with a guided mindfulness practice in help you slow down and reconnect. Once your smartphone has been connected to our projector, you'll spend a few moments effortlessly outlining the photo of your choice in pencil onto your canvas board. You'll then be guided by a professional artist instructor to create an acrylic painting that is personal to you. Frames are available at the end of class should you wish to hang your finished piece up as soon as you get home!

Will I finish my painting?

Lots of our guests finish their paintings in the first sitting with us, have them framed on site, and hang them up as soon as they get home. But... it really comes down to: - How complex your chosen image is - Any extra finesse you'd like to add, say, if it's intended as a gift for someone - How speedy you are! At MasterPeace we practice mindful painting, so we really don't want you to rush, let it take the time it wants to take. And to enable you to relax: we send you home with all the paints & brushes you use in your class to keep so that you can add any final touches from home, free of charge, should you need them.

This was a very relaxing and rewarding painting session. Anyone who hasn’t painted before will really enjoy this, as it’s very straightforward and simple to achieve some great results. We were lucky enough to have a small and intimate class and our tutor was incredible; very patient and very helpful. The location was easy to find and comfortable, all meaning we had a very enjoyable experience. I’m sure we will be back.
